Howiepalooza 2018
« on: March 30, 2018, 10:00:31 AM »
One month until the very last Howiepalooza at SMORR. The dates are April 27th - 29th.

Weaverling and I have a campsite reserved and are planning to head out Thursday morning. Rain may still deter us, but it should be better than last year...

More than likely. Weaverling is hauling his camper, and I could have a truck and trailer lined up.

I really want to tow my junk down this year, but don't really want to mooch a trailer off of any of my buddies. I'll look you guys up when I get down there!

Go to the local homeless shelter and pay one of the dudes to cover for ya.  Win-win!

Nothing has been set in stone yet. Typically, we leave Des Moines early Thursday morning.

With a new drain valve, compressor no longer cycles every 10 seconds. That's all I needed to fix and now I'm ready for some wheeling. Hopefully the weather cooperates and I will swap for half doors next week.

Tomorrow, I'll find out if I'm towing with a truck or a super scary shaggin' wagon.

There will be wheeling and good times with friends. What more could you ask for?

Have y’all decided what time you are heading out? I plan to hit the road around 8:30 on Thursday morning. I would like to travel with the group.

Weaverling and I talked about it for around 10 seconds last night. 5 or 6 am were the times. Adrienne, does your schedule allow you to leave any earlier? If not, we will make things work so that we can go down as a group.

FYI, we plan to stop at Lambert's, south of Springfield, for lunch. And I might be hauling a camper with my JK now, which means there will be A LOT of fuel stops. The Jeep barely makes it out of Iowa before running low on gas.
