Curious....
The TJ has rear drum brakes, right?  Would disc brakes have prevented this at all?

Yep discs would have held the axle in so we could get to flat ground.

What skid is that?  I just got mine from rockmen last week.  Rubicon transfer case is already bumping the tub so it's going to need to be cut to clearance it.

And Nelson,  don't second guess the 8.8 unless you plan on going 40+" tires.  I beat on mine pretty good with heavy 36s and haven't even considered breaking my rear axle

Got the passenger control arm mounts cut off. Gonna work on the other side in the morning and get new mounts tacked up.
