Smitty's Build
« on: March 08, 2012, 10:25:25 PM »
Here is the past 2years worth of upgrade on my Junk

Virgin on the lot

The way I drove it off the lot (2 inc lift and 33's)

1st upgrade New HID lights

2nd upgrade New front bumper (by body armor) and an XRC8 winch

3rd upgrade Bushwacker Flatflares

4th upgrade 37" tires and 2" spring spacers

next came a 1 1/4 body lift to make a little more room for the bigger tires

Then installed a tranny cooler (Sorry Paul not the kind of Tranny you were hoping for)

Then with the help of a few friends it was time for Beadlocks

Rcv Shafts were next, as I had already destroyed front axle shafts

And recently I finally got around to adding a Body Armor rear bumper and tire carrier.

MORE TO COME SOON

I can't remember the last time I saw a Jeep from Dave Smith. Living in the Northwest for many years that was the place to go if you wanted a deal on a new vehicle.

Ya it was well worth the couple hundred dollars in fuel cost to drive out there and get my Jeep.  I had about 25 4 door Rubicons to choose from, and got a great deal on the price.    I paid about 6k less than the exact same rig would have cost me in Minnesota.

Well I wanted either Red, white, or blue.  And the red one had the exact options I wanted, so the choice was made for me.

Hey- I'm not complaining here.  Parts coming off your rig are going to be included in future postings for my build thread.   ;D

Have you decided on the color yet? I want to see those babies on there!

Rattle can is easier to touch up if you rub. Also it is easier to touch up after every winter to hide any rust.

No No No  the beadlocks stay.  However that being said, I might goto some store baught beadlocks.  Ones that I can balance better, but I will wait to do that until my next tire upgrade.  Sometime late this year.
