I'm only watching this thread, but I may have a college bound kiddo that will need my help the further into August we get. I would hate to have to put down a box while moving to check the picture threads. I'd have much more time at the end of July to check the posts.

We would be interested in this if you get the date nailed down and it fits our schedules.  We would prefer to go out and back on our own as we are not into long hours on the road with no breaks.  We travel shorter days and stop often with things to do along the way out and back.  If we know when this is going to be we would like to join in at the Rubicon as this is on my bucket list.

I'm leaning more towards September or late August, but still interested whatever is decided. I'm just thinking since there are only a few good months for this trail, we should probably gets dates locked down to reserve hotels and plan what else we are doing and who wants to do what, with whom, whenever :-) that's sounded worse than I meant it! I just Googled it and it's probably 1705 miles for me and about $300 in gas one way. so I'm saving up and looking at camp sites now :-)

I would prefer to camp, just because I like it more.  I also agree that it would be nice to get some dates decided on.  Maybe we should first see who all plans to try to make it work and have each person throw out a date.  On that note, how many days are we looking at for this trip?

I'm wanting to hold out for date selection for a little bit.  My son will be going off to college (assuming he passes his senior year and all) and I won't be missing that.  Making this trip before or after that is good by me.  But he has to apply for and be accepted to a college first.

Hopefully I could make it for 2018. Just need to switch up to 35s. Getting 4.56 and lockers next month for sure will have more skids by then, both on the jeep and my underpants.
