Updated -  We are now about 2 weeks out.

The boys from Ryan’s Boy Scout troop have indicated that the Jeeping campout is one of their favorite campouts of the year.  My son pitched the idea to his Boy Scout Troop and they wanted to try it as well.  With the timing as it is, we will be bringing both troops on this Campout and Jeeping demo.

The boys will be camping from Friday Evening to Sunday morning with a Jeeping Demo on Saturday.

For this, we are looking for a few experienced people willing to give the boys rides on some of the more tame obstacles.  We also show them some of the more difficult things as they observe from a safe distance.

We ask you to complete the national BSA Youth Protection Training prior to attending.  It's web based and takes about 20-25min to complete.  It's available for free online at: www.myscouting.org

Just think of how many future Jeep owners we will have after this experience!

Our boys have it on the calendar for May of this year again- has become the most popular campout we have every year!  What do you say we combine the two into the same weekend?

Hey Ryan - After discussing this with you the other day, I ran it by our Scoutmaster.  He trusts my opinion and thinks that combining the campouts sounds like a good idea.  The three of will have to get together some time to discuss details.

As I mentioned, we have set our date for May 19th - 21st with Wheeling on Saturday the 20th.

As of right now, I am in.

Glad to hear it Scott and John!  With two scout troops there, we will need plenty of Jeeps.

Yay!  Now the other Jeeps on the run will have a chance at being the boy's favorite!

 :)

Seriously though, sorry you can't make it...

5/20 is my birthday.  I was trying to talk my wife into a weekend at the iron range, with a fallback to the farm as Plan B. She executed an unknown Plan C and bought airfare to Denver for the two of us. So.....I'm out!

As of this week Fltfndr will be completed and ready to go. (except for the granny low 4 speed) Would love to be part of the Scout Weekend, but not available for camping. Could arrive Sat A.M and depart late Saturday Evening. Can only carry one passenger with belt and harness if this would help.

Check it out at the May club meeting
